Thurs Sept 30
This was a day to catchup on laundry, and take the bikes and explore downtown Napa . Like a number of other cities in the area, it dates back to the mid to late 1800’s. Many of the homes retain their Victorian Architecture, but have been renovated with all today’s modern conveniences. Because of this there are a number of beautiful Bed and Breakfast locations throughout the town.
Some other interesting features of the town are the Wine Train (but at $250 for the 2 of us for a 3 ½ hour lunch and tasting tour, we politely declined), the Oxbow market which on Tuesdays and Saturdays resembles Granville Island, and the River Front area where there are unique restaurants, stores, and condos overlooking a wider section of the Napa river.
